CONWAY, MURRAY FRANK JOSEPH, WWII Veteran: June 8, 1923 - April 23, 2015. Our dear father has passed away at the age of 91 at Pioneer Elder Care in St Catharines and is now re-united eternally with his beloved wife Miriam (June 16, 2014). Dad will be forever missed by his 5 children Sheila (Clair) Bracken, Colleen (Gary) Lake, Frank (Jeannie) Conway, Patti (Terry) Breen and Mary Jane (Joe) Silvestre. Adored Papa to Debbie, Colleen, Rhonda, David, Tanya, Eric, Josh, Shauna, Michael, Christopher, Alexa and Jordon. Cherished great-grandfather of 12. Our father was a hard working man his whole life. He and mom married in Ayton, Ontario on September 6, 1943 before he left to serve in the Canadian Army working as a medic in the hospitals in England. Upon his return in July of 1946, he resumed work at General Motors until his retirement at age 56. We loved Dad for his common sense, good humour and his total dedication to all his family, whether he was tinkering in the workshop on his latest project to provide us all with his beautiful creations or sitting on the front porch at "55" with mom waiting for the Sunday afternoon visits. The candy jar was always full for the grandchildren and he always enjoyed his afternoon nip of scotch. A man who loved his family.
Special thank you to Dr. Belgasem, Dr. Arvinte and also the loving and dedicated staff at Pioneer Elder Care who made Dad's last few months "just like home". Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Community Care of St. Catharines
"At the day's end I'm ready for sound sleep, for you, God, have put my life back together. " Psalm 4-8
