<div itemprop="description">FOOTE, NATHAN: October 4, 1924 - August 24, 2015. A life well lived. Gentleman, Sailor and cherished Family Man. Nathan was born in Isle-aux-Morte, Newfoundland. He will be forever remembered by his loving wife of 58 years, Augusta, his children Judi (Bryan) Trush, Tom (Wendy) Foote, and Henry (the late Grace) Baggs. His memory will be carried on through his beloved grandchildren BJ, Brianna, and Billy Trush, Gregory Foote, Amanda (Tom) Chaulk and Lyle (Veronica) Baggs; his great-grandchildren Sarah Chaulk and Owen Baggs. He will be sadly missed by his sister Suzie Ball, brothers and sisters-in-law George (Marie) Baggs, Beulah (the late John) Walters, Launce (Dina) Baggs, Roy Baggs, Rose Baggs, and Mary (the late George) Foote. Uncle Nate will never be forgotten by his many nephews and nieces. Now he is with his parents Thomas and Francis Foote, brother George, sisters Vi Keeping, Maggie Seymoure and Meta Coleman. He was a good man loved by all who knew him. Nathan spent his early years fishing, leaving home at the age of 16 to join the Merchant Marines. He spent the next 21 years sailing on both Deep Sea and Lake Boats. After this time on the water he tried his hand at owning a Snack Bar where he was &quot;Chief cook and bottle washer&quot;. He worked briefly at Kimberly Clark and Brock University as a janitor. He was never afraid of hard work. Nathan spent 17 years at TRW and retired in 1978. He and Augusta lived for many years at Ina Grafton Gage Village moving into Long Term Care 6 years ago where he was loved and cared for by many wonderful nurses, PSW's and staff. Our deepest thanks to all of them. If desired, donations to Easter Seals or the Heart &amp; Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.</div>
