<div itemprop="description">Featherstone, William G.: <br />It is with great sorrow that we mark the passing of Bill at the N.H.S. St. Catharines on Thursday October 9, 2014. Beloved husband of Yukiko Tognon and the late Muriel (1997). Dear father of Bob &amp; his wife Lynette, Tracy &amp; her husband Bill German, David and step-father to Cristina and Andrew. Cherished grandfather of Will (2011), Hilary, William, Sarina, Jimmy and step-grandfather of Kaiya, Hailie, Emily, Noah, Drew, Nora and Kira. <br />He was born on September 24, 1930, grew up in Hagersville and Haldimand County. He was a graduate of Ryerson as a mechanical engineering technologist. Residing in Toronto and St. Catharines, he held management positions at Link Belt, Kelsey Hayes (Conroy Division), Aimco and Ferranti-Packard. <br />He was an avid sailor having owned increasingly larger sailboats. Bill was a student and instructor with the Canadian Power Squadron. On land he pursued a childhood hobby of building model airplanes, learning and acquiring membership with the Niagara Regional Radio Controlled Model Flying Club. He enjoyed the outdoors while camping, hiking and canoeing. At home he was kept busy feeding birds. He was a regular patron of Garden City Productions, Niagara Symphony Orchestra and Brock Centre for the Arts.
